August 2021

3-week Musical Theatre Short Course - Mountview Academy

At Mountview, I worked individually and collectively in small groups to improve our skills in the three disciplines, singing, acting and dance, as well as working to put the three together. I worked with Nick Crossley, Lauren Hood, Nathan Martin, Natalie Bray, David Randall and Matt Malthouse in each of their respective classes and fields, and was working towards putting together a showcase of three fine-tuned numbers at the end of week two. Sadly though, this course has to be cut short as there was an outbreak of COVID-19, and we had to complete the last week online.

September 2018 - March 2020

Drama GCSE - Debenham High School

For this GCSE I had to study the play DNA by Dennis Kelly, and analyse each character and how they would be performed; I had to devise and perform a short play, alongside three peers; and perform a monologue and a duologue of my choosing, as well as sitting a written exam. I got a Grade 8, showing my dedication, commitment and knowledge in the field, as well as my passion for the dramatic arts.

September 2018 - March 2020

Music GCSE - Debenham High School

For this GCSE I had to compose two pieces of music, one of them to a set brief; I had to perform two pieces, one solo and one accompanied; as well as complete a written exam based on 8 different pieces of music we had studied.

November 2019

Ebenezer Scrooge - Scrooge! the Musical

I played Ebenezer Scrooge, an arrogant, money-loving old man who learns to love. This role challenged my acting abilities as well as my singing skills, as not only did I have some of the key solos of the show but I also had to step out of my comfort zone into a character that is very different from myself.

November 2018

Crystal - Little Shop of Horrors

Crystal's role includes a gorgeous, soulful solo at the beginning of 'Skid Row' and is one of the most major singing and dancing roles in the show. For this role I had to stay co-ordinated with four other characters the entire show, as well as working alongside a puppet for the majority of the performance.

March 2019

Grade 6 Vocals - Rockschool

Passed with Merit (it should be noted that I perform at Grade 8 standard)

November 2018

Grade 4 Drums - Rockschool

Passed with Merit (it should be noted that I perform at Grade 5 standard)

June 2017

Tracy Turnblad - Hairspray

The role of Tracy Turnblad was one filled with energy and optimism, one that although it was tiring was so great to play and meant I got to perform one of my favourite songs from the musical: 'Can't Stop The Beat'. This role tested my stamina and energy levels like nothing else, as I had to sing and dance energetically throughout the entire show, as well as incorporating costume changes and even some improvisation at times.

June 2016

Miss Hannigan - Annie

Miss Hannigan was my first leading role in any performance, and my first role as part of a drama company as well. I had her iconic solo 'Little Girls' to sing and loved every second of it. Again this character was challenging but so much fun to play, as she is over the top and such an iconic role as well.

August 2018

Arts Award Bronze - Trinity College London

Level 1 Award in the Arts

July 2019

Work Experience - Sir John Mills Theatre

I did a week's work experience with Eastern Angles Theatre Company at the Sir John Mills Theatre on Bramford Road. During this time I got to be part of the audition process, learn about lighting and the box office, and help prepare for a big performing arts festival they held in Peterborough. Below I have linked a small article the company asked me to write in review of my time there.

Summer 2012 - Summer 2018

West End Week - Boot Camp

West End Week is a boot camp run by an ex-west end actor that involves 4 intense days of rehearsals, lead by stars of the latest West End shows, with the last day being a showcase of everything we've learnt. I did this almost annually during the summer up until 2018, meaning I have done it perhaps 4 or 5 times and so have plenty of experience working intensely to rehearse.
